Brittany Cohen
Artist Statement
My work is an inquiry of the issues I experience and the emotional/physical responses that can result. Many of my works study the political sociology of America. I focus on relationships between society and citizens. I explore the origins of these relationships as well as the consequences of them. Through this I create dance theater that exposes the realities we sometimes cannot face on our own. I create work that enlivens the emotional capabilities of the audience and myself.
